Canadian travel magazine The Travel has listed Vietnam as one of the "10 most incredible places in the world that are amazingly cheap to visit", along with Laos and Indonesia. “This is one of the cheapest countries to visit and one of the most underrated,” the magazine says.
Eating local food will only cost you a few dollars per meal, and a cup of iced coffee costs less than a dollar.
Ca phe da, iced coffee, has become an integral part of Vietnamese daily life in recent years, with millions starting their day with a cup in the morning.
A cup of iced coffee costs VND10,000-15,000 ($0.43-$0.64).
The Travel also recommended that tourists travel around Vietnam by bus or train with cheap airfare.
“If you don’t mind slow long distance travel, buses and trains around Vietnam are among the most affordable in the world, making it easy to explore all of this beautiful country,” he added.
The rest also include the Greek Islands, India, Colombia, Nicaragua, Mexico, Poland and Romania.
