AirAsia resumes Kuala Lumpur — Nha Trang flights from July 8
AirAsia has announced the resumption of flights between Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Nha Trang (Vietnam) after a two-year suspension due to Covid-19. Accordingly, AirAsia will resume Kuala Lumpur — Nha Trang flights from July 8 with 2 flights a week on Mondays and Fridays. The flight will land at Cam Ranh International Airport at 11:30 and depart at 12:00 on the same day. AirAsia is a Malaysian low cost airline headquartered in Kuala Lumpur. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, AirAsia operated domestic and international flights to almost 165 cities in 25 countries and territories such as Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, China, Vietnam, Hong Kong (China), India, Taiwan, United Kingdom with about 500 flights in day. In September 2017, AirAsia launched the Kuala Lumpur - Nha Trang route with 1 flight per day, which marked the beginning of a significant increase in the number of international flights from Europe to Khanh Hoa around the world. Flights from Kuala Lumpur to Nha Trang have been halted due to coronavirus concerns in 2020. AirAsia has become the sixth airline to resume international flights to Cam Ranh International Airport. Vietjet Air, Air Seoul, Jeju Air and Air Busan have reopened flights between Incheon (South Korea) and Cam Ranh, Vietnam Airlines has resumed flights on the Singapore-Cam Ranh route. It is expected that the resumption of AirAsia flights from Kuala Lumpur to Nha Trang will help attract visitors to Malaysia in particular and the countries of Southeast Asia in general, said the head of the Khanh Hoa Tourism Department.
